Founded in 1951 to meet the religious needs of some 750 families, mostly Jewish, who set up new homes in our area (once devoted to potato farming), the JCCWH enrolled some 650 families as members and set up a full program of Conservative Religious Services, including a Religious School, and at once became a focal point for religious and community activities. Today, more than 200 families join together as a sacred community, in prayer, in song, in Sisterhood, Men's Club, Chavurah groups, educational programs, cultural and social activities, and in joyous celebration of life's events.
